Abstract
Iterative decoding is a key feature of turbo code and each decoding result, , in additional power consumption of the decoder and decoding delay. In thi s letter, we propose an effective stop criterion based on the Gaussian assu mption at the decoder output. Simulation results show that the proposed met hod can dynamically stop the iterative process with a negligible degradatio n of the error performance.
