For centuries, the Qi secondary pathways have been known. Although in
many diseases puncturing their points can be very effective, such trea
tment, surprisingly, is used very restrictively. In this article we pr
esent some methods allowing the relief of these pathways in their most
limited sites. Such approaches are referred to as gentle acupuncture
which intends to clear energy channels. In addition, methods of workin
g with principal channels using the Five Element-Phase points are pres
ented. These methods, considering energy imbalance at a level of the w
hole organism, are called strong acupuncture because of their strong i
nfluence on the Energy of the body.
