The aging behaviour of negative temperature coefficient ceramics in the sys
tem Mn-Ni-Fe-O has been investigated by electrical resistivity measurements
and magnetic measurements. Comparison is made between samples cooled in ai
r and in a controlled atmosphere in which no oxidation can occur. The resul
ts show that the aging is dependent on composition and the oxidation which
