Abstract
The aging behaviour of negative temperature coefficient ceramics in the sys tem Mn-Ni-Fe-O has been investigated by electrical resistivity measurements and magnetic measurements. Comparison is made between samples cooled in ai r and in a controlled atmosphere in which no oxidation can occur. The resul ts show that the aging is dependent on composition and the oxidation which occurs during the cooling down after sintering. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science L td. All rights reserved.
