Abstract
A closed set of the nonlinear coupled wave equations of a free-elctron lase r is numerically analyzed for a long interaction time in the Compton region . The influences of a spatially homogeneous equation and an inhomogeneous c ase are also investigated for the cases of initial conditions with and with out shot noise in the electron beam.
