Abstract
A new species of cucujid beetle, Platisus zelandicus n. sp., from the Three Kings Islands, New Zealand, is described and illustrated from the adult an d larva. Platisus zelandicus is compared with adults and larvae of Australi an species of Platisus. Aspects of its biology and relationships with other cucujid species are discussed.
