T. Omori et al., MECHANISM OF THE SOLVENT-EXTRACTION OF PERTECHNETATE WITH TETRAPHENYLARSONIUM CHLORIDE, Journal of radioanalytical and nuclear chemistry, 191(1), 1995, pp. 99-104
Based on the fundamental parameters governing the distribution equilib
rium of tetraphenylarsonium chloride (TPAC) between the n-hexane-chlor
oform and aqueous solutions, the extraction mechanism of pertechnetate
with TPAC has been systematically investigated. By the analysis of a
relation of the distribution ratio of pertechnetate and the hydrogen i
on concentration, the dissociation constant of pertechnetic acid was d
etermined to be K-a = 2.09 +/- 0.18 at 25 degrees C.
