Abstract
In expansion injection moulding use should be made of the melt, which is un der high pressure in the cylinder, as an energy accumulator to store energy , thereby obviating the need for a separate hydraulic accumulator for the i njection unit. in this way, thin-walled small parts and micro precision par ts can be injection moulded with enhanced reproductibility, both accurately and at the speed of an explosion, thereby ensuring cost-efficient producti on.
