Abstract
The Multicenter Automatic Defibrillator Implantation Trial (MADIT) sug gests that survival in patients with prior myocardial infarction, asyn tomatic unsustained ventricular tachycardia and reduced left ventricul ar function was better among the patients who received implantable car dioverter defibrillator than that in the drug-treatment group. Neverth eless the absence of data about the efficacy and security of the conve ntional antyarrhythmic treatment weakness its result and clinical apli cability.
