Tn. Vinetskaya et al., PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF AQUEOUS SUSPENSIONS OF ULTRAFINE POWDERS OF METALLIC IRON, Russian metallurgy. Metally, (3), 1994, pp. 25-29
Using the methods of photocolorimetry, ion exchange and electron param
agnetic resonance, the chemical state of iron ions in the aqueous phas
es of suspensions of ultrafine iron powders was investigated. These po
wders are promising as plant growth stimulants. By studying the redox
potentials of the system, it was demonstrated that the transition of i
ron into the solution depends on the acidity of the medium and the con
centration of iron in the suspension.
