Abstract
Acute Q fever most commonly manifests as a self-limited febrile illness, pn eumonia or hepatitis. We report the case of a 12-year-old child with docume nted exposure to sources of Coxiella burnetii who was admitted to our hospi tal because of hemolytic-uremic syndrome. Serologic tests established the d iagnosis of acute Q fever.
