Abstract
The preparation of filamentary (Nd, Gd)-123 superconductors was examined by changing starting composition and heating condition of melt processing in flowing 1% O-2 + Ar. High J(c) value of more than 2.4 x 10(4) A/cm(2) at 77 K and zero field and the high reproducibility were obtained for the filame ntary (Nd0.5Gd0.5)-123 sample. The field dependence of J(c) for the sample was measured and J(c) value of more than I x 10(2) A/cm(2) at 77 K and 8 T was detected to the sample. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reser ved.
