Abstract
Double-sided epitaxial YbBa2Cu4O8 (Yb124) films were grown on 20 x 20 mm(2) LaAlO3(001) substrates by coating-pyrolysis process. The Yb124 film, prepa red through an annealing path with a heating rate of 10-20 degreesC/min up to 780 degreesC, exhibited very strong XRD intensities corresponding to the c-axis orientation. Inductive superconducting transitions were recognized at 77.4 and 77.6 K for both sides. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All right s reserved.
