Abstract
Measured results and discussion on vacuum seal-off property of a cooling sy stem for high-temperature superconducting antennas are reported. The coolin g system was designed and fabricated and its cryogenic packaging was invest igated. Vacuum seal-off tests were performed and high vacuum for thermal is olation could be kept for 25 days. On the cold stage of the system, some ki nds of gas, including H2O and CO2, were adsorbed on a cold stage. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
