Mixtures and sintered compacts with a composition Ti + 48 at.% (34.2 w
t.%) Al prepared by mixing and mechanical alloying (equilibrium compos
ition gamma + alpha(2)) were studied. Composite powders constituting l
aminated conglomerates were obtained. Mechanical alloying intensifies
solid-phase interaction of Ti and Al and suppresses interaction with p
articipation of the liquid phase.
