Severe toxic osteoblastoma of the humerus associated with diffuse periostitis of multiple bones

Toxic osteoblastoma is a rare variant of an uncommon primary bone tumour th at has been described only once before in the world medical literature. It is characterised by systemic features including fever, weight loss and a st riking diffuse periostitis in association with an osteoblastoma, resulting in delayed diagnosis. Early recognition of this condition could prevent ina ppropriate therapies and reduce morbidity.
