Abstract
A procedure is proposed for describing incomplete metastable solidific ation of binary solid solution alloys allowing for the interaction of the liquid and solid phases. The procedure enables one to determine th e position of the metastable solidus in phase diagrams and the distrib ution of components over a dendrite cell.
