Abstract
The new chiral Schiff base ligands 1a-1c were synthesized from (1R)-(+)-cam phor and found to be efficient catalysts for the enantioselective silylcyan ation of aromatic aldehydes. The corresponding aromatic cyanohydrins were o btained in good yields and with enantiomeric excesses (e.e.s) of up to 73%. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
