Abstract
The present study examined an 11-year-old girl with Down syndrome who suffered from acute myeloblastic leukemia (AML) preceded by preleukemi c pancytopenia. Chromosomal analysis of leukemic cells revealed a chro mosome change at t(8;21) and trisomy 8 associated with constitutional trisomy al. Treatment with antineoplastic agents led to complete remis sion. (C) Elsevier Science Inc., 1997.
