Abstract
Thermodynamic calculations demonstrated that the formation of gaseous phases of selenium and tellurium is the main cause of the temperature range of embrittlement of copper and its alloys, approximately from 97 0 to 1070 K. Other probable causes include the effect of cross slip of screw dislocations and some features of heat vibrations of lattice at oms.
