Abstract
The production of F-18-fluoride from a gas target which utilizes the O-18(p ,n)F-18 reaction is described. Proof-of-principle experiments demonstrate t hat it is possible to design and build such a target that can be used routi nely to produce terabecquerel (curie) quantities of F-18 when operated at 1 00 muA.
