Abstract
The influence of the temperature variation of gamma-sources, obtained from neutron capture gamma rays, on the resonance scattering cross sec tion of photons is calculated in detail. The results are used to propo se a method for the determination of the temperature of gamma-sources from a measurement of scattered intensity ratios from certain scattere rs at different temperatures.
