M. Ohler et al., DIRECT OBSERVATION OF MOSAIC BLOCKS IN HIGHLY ORIENTED PYROLYTIC-GRAPHITE, Nuclear instruments & methods in physics research. Section B, Beam interactions with materials and atoms, 129(2), 1997, pp. 257-260
Section topographs have been recorded on Highly Oriented Pyrolytic Gra
phite (HOPG) samples utilizing a highly collimated monochromatic X-ray
beam. Both the spatial and the angular arrangement of the mosaic bloc
ks in HOPG have directly been imaged. The results are discussed in rel
ation to the production of low mosaic spread material, to be used as m
onochromators for both X-rays and neutrons.
