Abstract
A method for the determination of cadmium by flow injection cold vapor gene ration atomic absorption spectrometry (FI-CVGAAS) with an on-line ion excha nge micro-column preconcentration system was developed using IRC-718, 122 a nd Muromac A-1 resin. The interferences from coexisting elements were studi ed. The detection limit(3 sigma) was 2. 3-3. 0 ng/L with a sampling frequen cy of 45-60/h. The precision was 2. 0%-2-6% RSD(n = 11) at 0. 2 mug/L level . The method was applied to the analysis of water samples. Satisfactory rec overies of cadmium in reservoir water, tap water and brine waters were obta ined for spiked samples.
