Abstract
The syntheses and spectroscopic properties of three difunctional photorefra ctive model molecules ethyl [2-eyano-3-(9-ethylcarbazol-3-yl)]acrylate (ECE A), 2-(4-nitrophenyl)-3-(9-ethylearbazol-3-yl)-acrylonitrile (NPEA) and 9-e thylcarbazol-3-azo-(4-nitrobenzene) (ECAN) are reported in this paper. The results indicate that the spectroscopic properties are influenced by the st ructure of three molecules and these molecules belong to p-type semiconduct or.
