Studies on synthesis and biological activities of novel triazole compoundscontaining sulfur

The novel triazole compounds containing sulfur are synthesized by 1, 4-nucl eophilic addition 1,3-diaryl-2-[(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-methyl]-2-propen-1- one to substituted thiophenol. The structures of these compounds are determ ined by elemental analyses, H-1 NMR and IR spectral data. These compounds a re found to possess moderate degree fungicidal and better pesticidal activi ties by biological assay.
