Abstract
Synthesis of linear molecules containing two to four steroid units connecte d with the amide bonds was developed. As a repeating unit, 3 beta -hydroxya ndrost-5-ene-17 beta -carboxylic acid (etienic acid) was used. An active es ter of this acid with N-hydroxysuccinimide and its 3-azido analogue were pr epared-and methods for the preparation of higher oligomers were studied.
