Abstract
We describe the camera of the fluorescence detector of the Auger Observator y. The design of the camera body, which allows packing hexagonal pixels on a spherical focal surface, is presented. We report on the characteristics o f the hexagonal photomultipliers and the performance of light collectors, p laced in front of the photomultipliers, in terms of the camera uniformity.
