Abstract
Annealing Fe-P-Si-Mn amorphous alloys is found to produce a few nanocrystal line phases, with Z a strength gain no higher than that in Fe-P-Si alloys. This crystallization behavior is accounted for by the formation of two meta stable silicides whose growth rates during annealing are higher than those of the equilibrium phases.
