Abstract
Polarization reversal and domain dynamics have been investigated in 0.7Pb(M g1/3Nb2/3) O-3-0.3PbTiO(3) using a method of current transients. Investigat ions were performed as a function of applied electric field. The kinetics o f the transients have been modeled to an equation of state for heterogeneou s nucleation in the vicinity of random fields. Nucleation of polar clusters with a reversed polarization occurs under applied field in the vicinity of randomly quenched defects. (C) 2001 American Institute of Physics.
