Abstract
We describe a case of nonfunctioning islet cell tumor of the pancreas diagn osed preoperatively by intermittent harmonic power Doppler imaging and digi tal subtraction gray-scale harmonic imaging and the use of the contrast age nt SH U 508A (Levovist). Hypervascularity and tumor perfusion were clearly demonstrated with both harmonic imaging techniques in the early arterial ph ase. Sonographic findings were confirmed by other modalities and by histopa thologic examination. (C) 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
