Abstract
Reaction of 3-aminopyridazine (1) with 2-methylphenylisocyante (4) affords
not only the desired urea derivative (5) but also an unexpected side-produc
t (6), which could be identified as the corresponding biuret derivative by
means of elemental and spectroscopic data as well as crystal structure dete
rmination.
