Our recent work on the spectroscopic studies of diatomic transition metal r
adicals is briefly presented. Various experimental methods to produce trans
ition metal radicals and obtain electronic spectra using laser spectroscopi
c techniques are reviewed. Our latest results on the A (2)Pi -X(2)Sigma (+)
transition of TiN using polarization spectroscopy and the C (4)Sigma (-)-X
(4)Sigma (-) transition of VS using laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy
are described and preliminary results on these transitions are reported.
