Abstract
We apply the two-potential distorted-wave approximation to study the electr on-impact ionization of He-like ions. The relativistic and non-relativistic total cross sections for incident energies from 1 to 10 ionization-energy units are calculated. Results are compared with other theoretical calculati ons and experimental data. Systematic behaviors along the isoelectronic seq uence are studied.
