Abstract
An experimental dismountable high-voltage field-emission display has been f abricated. It is used to demonstrate that gated structures may be adapted t o the case where flat-film emitters are made of a carbon-nanotube-epoxy com posite. Experiments have been carried out to study the field electron emiss ion characteristics of the display unit and to optimize the structural para meters. Our findings indicate that it is very likely for one to produce a n ear-market prototype high-voltage field-emission display, if a more sophist icated fabrication and assembly technique is adapted.
