Abstract
Nonthermal radiation emission (mechanoluminescence) from the surface Of tun gsten arising under the action of laser pulses is Studied. Spectral depende nces of emission intensity are measured. The mechanoluminescence of tungste n is shown to have a broad spectrum and is observed within the entire Studi ed spectral range lambda = 460-760 nm.
