Several types of samples have been formed in the crystal growth of CuGaS2.
They exhibit different colors as yellow, green and orange. Optical and elec
trical properties of these varieties of CuGaS2 microcrystals have been inve
stigated. The phonon spectra are. discussed according the stoichiometric de
viation in the microcrystalline structure. Electrical measurements show tha
t them green-colored crystal has the highest electrical conductivity and is
close to stoichiometric CuGaS2. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights
