Ea. Karakhanov et al., Catalytic hydrogenation of carbon dioxide to formic acid in aqueous solutions of polyethylene oxide, PETR CHEM, 41(4), 2001, pp. 268-271
The catalytic hydrogenation of carbon dioxide to formic acid in aqueous sol
utions of polyethylene oxide in the presence of various amines was studied.
The rhodium complex formed in situ under the reaction conditions from rhod
ium(III) chloride and triphenylphosphine was used as the catalyst. The depe
ndence of the yield of formic acid on the amine nature and on the metal and
polymer concentration was studied.
