The neutron-transfer reaction d(He-6, p)He-7 is investigated. The data obta
ined show that, in the range between 1 and 7 MeV above its ground-state res
onance, He-7 does not have well-pronounced narrow excited states with a sin
gle-particle structure. A resonance state of H-5 with an energy of 2 MeV ab
ove the n + n + H-3 decay threshold is obtained for the first time by makin
g use of the reaction p(He-6, 2He)5H. (C) 2001 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".
