Some ecological aspects of using carbon sorbents for removal of heavy metals and production of metal compound-containing active carbon-supported heterogenous catalysts

Selected aspects of growing use of active coals for heavy metals removing f rom environment and as catalyst supports are discussed. After use, the sorb ents and catalysts became hazardous substances. Attention was paid for nece ssity of utilization of the wastes. Particularly recycling of active coals is highlighted.
