Abstract
A Co-60 source of high activity has been used to photo-activate the 396 keV isomeric level (T(1/2)similar to 48.6 min) of Cd-111. Present results supp ort the existence of a non-resonant contribution to the photo-activation cr oss-section, the magnitude of our current estimate comparing favourably wit h measurements obtained by a number of other workers.
