Abstract
The analysis of experimental data available in the literature shows that th e neutron sensitivity ratio m = k(3)/k(5) for the two main glow peaks P-3 a nd P-5 of TLD-300 (for ribbons of 3.2 x 3.2 x 0.9 mm(3)) is dependent upon the response ratio R-3/R-5 of these two peaks. This finding is in agreement with predictions from an equation derived from the two-peak method equatio ns. The result implies that the peak response ratio R-3/R-5 for TLD-300 sur rounded by Tissue Equivalent material is independent of the encapsulating m aterial. This is also demonstrated experimentally.
