Abstract
A correlation was established between short term radon measurements (with a duration of two days) made in the spring season and those of a long term a ssessment used as an annual average. The objective and advantage of this co rrelation is that a short term measurement provides a reasonable estimate o f the mean radon concentration. It also provides an indication of the proba bility for high radon concentrations in a group of dwellings rather than ma king use of prediction for specific radon concentration in an individual dw elling to be used in evaluating the exposure to individuals.
