Abstract
Hydrolysis of 1-mesylimidazole, 1-mesylbenzotriazole, and 1-tosylbenzimidaz ole was studied by reversed-phase HPLC and pulsed field gradient NMR diffus imetry. The hydrolysis rate constants and half reaction times were determin ed. The self-diffusion coefficients of the substances in aqueous solutions were measured. The reversed-phase HPLC data agree well with those of NMR di ffusimetry.
