Abstract
A series of fullerite C-60 clathrates with n-hydrocarbons (pentane to nonan e) were synthesized. A hexagonal close-packed fullerite C-60 phase was obta ined as a result of thermal treatment of the n-hexane clathrate only. The o ther clathrates from this series are transformed into a distorted face-cent ered phase.
