Abstract
We describe the technique for endoscopic removal of a stromal tumor of the lower third of the esophagus through the left thoracoscopic approach. The t umor resembled a leiomyoma and was classified as a borderline, potentially malignant lesion after thoracoscopic removal. The technique and clinical im plications in such cases are discussed on the basis of current knowledge.
