Abstract
New one-step synthesis of ketocyanine dyes is presented. The dyes obtained expose spectral changes in pH range from 1.7 to 4.3 and their protonated fo rms absorb at 715-750 nm. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
