S. Hogan et D. Simpson, Campaign contributions and mayoral/aldermanic relationships - Building on Krebs and Pelissero, URBAN AFF R, 37(1), 2001, pp. 85-95
Independently of Krebs and Pelissero, the authors have studied Chicago elec
tion campaign contributions and city council voting. Their findings confirm
the differences between the political regimes of Mayors Harold Washington
and Richard M. Daley. The authors go further to explore the implication of
these empirical findings for what they call the "new Chicago machine".
