Abstract
Schwannomas of the submandibular gland have only been documented sporadical ly throughout the medical literature. We describe a case of schwannoma of t he submandibular gland originating from the submandibular branch of the lin gual nerve, which carries the preganglionic parasympathetic nerve fibers.
