Abstract
The aim of the present study was to present an Italian version of the Penn State Worry Questionnaire (PSWQ), describe its factorial structure, and ver ify wording effects probably due to the presence of negatively keyed items. Confirmatory factor analyses supported a model containing trait and method factors. This means that the measure is likely to be contaminated by metho d effects. Thus, the relevance of negatively worded items in the PSWQ is qu estioned. Copyright (C) 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
