Abstract
Lie algebras graded by a finite irreducible reduced root system A will be g
eneralized to predivision (Delta, G)-graded Lie algebras for an abelian gro
up G. In this paper such algebras are classified, up to central extensions,
when Delta = A(l) for l greater than or equal to 3, D or E, and G = Z(n).
